Deep Space Nine was started in 1993, and it still continues today. There are no movies for it (I don't think there will be until it goes off the air). It stars Avery Brooks as Captain Benjamin Sisko, and Nana Visitor as Major Kira Nerys, the stations first officer and the Bajoran representative on the station (go here for a complete cast list). In the last season finale, a character who has been on the series since it's beginnings, was killed. Commander Jadzia Dax, who was married to Worf, was killed by Dukat, who was under the influence of something (for a sysnopsis of this episode, click here).
